This is a beginner s course in Mandarin Chinese and culture. The course will focus on learning the four tones, basic vocabulary rules, greetings, and survival dialogues. Each class lesson will include a language and cultural component. Yan Chen-McBride, certified instructor and Chinese citizen, has been teaching Mandarin Chinese (levels 1-5) to university and high school students in the USA for over a decade. She also serves as Vice-President at International Partners in Education. PLEASE NOTE: This is a synchronous, real-time, online course. Each participant must have a computer/tablet/phone with internet access, microphone, and headset/ear buds, and will participate from the comfort of his or her own home. (Minimum 4 students, maximum 8 students)
