This course is designed for the beginner who wants to learn the very beginning basics of tracing a family tree. The class will focus on family group sheets, pedigree charts, federal census, birth, death, and marriage records. We will explore how to document the sources. A focus will be on primary and secondary sources. This course will touch upon research back to about 1850, including immigrations and military service of our ancestors.
