This class teaches about the importance of good nutrition, which has been scientifically proven to prevent heart disease, obesity, diabetes, certain types of cancers, and also increase longevity. During this lecture, Melinda Somasekhar, Ph.D. will discuss what foods to avoid and why; which foods are healthy to eat; which foods can improve your health by reducing inflammation in the body and improve quality of life; which foods are essential for keeping a person healthy across the lifespan; and which foods help children grow and develop properly. Adolescents and adults are welcome to participate.
