FRI 4/26- 4:00-9:00 PM PREREQUISITE TESTING AND INTRODUCTION
WED 5/1- 6:00-9:30 PM
FRI 5/3- 4:00-9:00 PM
WED 5/8- 6:00-9:30 PM
FRI 5/10- 4:00-8:00 PM FINAL IN WATER TESTING WRITTEN LIFEGUARD EXAM
Blended learning combines online learning with in-person skill sessions where you will practice skills and demonstrate competency. Participants must complete all online content and attend all in-water skill sessions to receive certification. Students will receive American Red Cross Lifeguard Training and First Aid, and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer. Upon successful completion, students will be certified in Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR and AED. Requirements: Must be 15 years old (proof of age required) by the completion of the course. Prerequisite test includes: Swim 300 yards, crawl stroke and breaststroke proficiently; Swim 20 yards, surface dive to a depth of 7-10 feet, retrieve a 10 lb. object and return to starting point, in under 100 seconds; Tread water using legs only for 2 minutes.
